“1920s/30s painted wall advert.Tooting London”
It reads …..J c M Stone and by the lettering style I would say its 1920s.Partly obscured by a modern sign you can clearly see the word radio.My Dad can remember how careful you had to be with the battery from the radio as if it was moved incorrectly the acid from the battery could leak out and burn you.I grew up without a television,highly unusual for the times,so the radio was my entertainment and Saturday night at the theatre which was on radio 4 was the highlight of my week!This company also had branches in Balham and other shopping areas in South London.
